Firefighters extinguished an early morning commercial building fire Friday on Newbold Road in Falls Township.

Firefighters were dispatched to the business at 1:37 a.m. after an automatic fire alarm.
While headed to the scene, dispatchers upgraded the assignment to a reported structure blaze, according to the Falls Township Fire Company.
The Falls Township Fire Company deputy chief arrived and discovered an active fire in the building’s office area and established command.

Firefighters put out the flames, checked the building to make sure the fire had not spread, and completed ventilation of the smoke, the fire company said.
No injuries were reported.
Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but a lithium-ion battery may have ignited the blaze.

The Falls Township Fire Company was assisted on the scene by the Levittown Fire Company, Fairless Hills Fire Department, Morrisville Fire Company, Levittown Fire Company No. 2, Yardley-Makefield Fire Company, and Tullytown Fire Company.
