On Wednesday shortly before 1:30 p.m., police responded to the home of the victim’s mother, who said he was armed and still inside the home alone. The victim noted to police that the couple’s 8-year-old daughter was in the room when Bell pointed the gun at her, according to court documents.

After police secured the scene and entered the home, they found Bell, who had a .45 caliber handgun in his back waist line, in the home’s living room. The weapon was found to have a round in the chamber, according to police record. Bell was taken into police custody and transported to police headquarters.

During police interview with Bell, he admitted that his eight-year-old daughter was indeed present in the room when he pointed the loaded gun at her mother.

Police said Bell’s lone registered handgun is secure at their station and would not be returned until the court case connected to the alleged assault is over.

Bell’s bail conditions included no contact with the victims, but he can have contact with his two children.
