The woman who died in Saturday night’s head-on crash on Oxford Valley Road in Middletown has been identified by police.

Deborah Eastwood-Thomas of Levittown was killed when her northbound-traveling Saturn Ion struck a Pontiac Fiero that was stopped and attempting to make a left turn onto Forsythia Drive South, police said.

A GMC Envoy in the southbound lane was struck head-on by the Saturn, police said. The driver of that vehicle, Terilyn Brofman of Levittown, was taken to St. Mary Medical Center with serious injuries.

Robert Schuenmann Jr. of Levittown was in the Pontiac and was uninjured, police said.

“One driver possibly crossed into oncoming traffic to pass a vehicle ahead of her and struck another vehicle head on,” Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla said Sunday morning.
