Man Killed In Bensalem I-95 Crash Was Headed To Falls Twp.

The truck driver killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Bensalem Thursday afternoon has been identified by Pennsylvania State Police.

Paul Mirys, 58, of Trenton, was killed when his truck filled with scrap metal was involved in a six-vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Street Road.

6abc.com reports the 58-year-old was headed to the Sims Metal Management facility in the Morrisville section of Falls Township.

State police investigators remained on the scene of the crash and had the northbound lanes closed until late Thursday night.

Original Story: A serious accident with entrapment happened Thursday afternoon in Bensalem. The crash happened on northbound I-95 in the area of Street Road around 1:20 p.m. Early reports indicated multiple people were trapped and at least one tractor-trailer was overturned. Emergency crews shut down northbound I-95 and called a medical helicopter to the scene. While traffic in the northbound lanes was stopped, southbound traffic was slow due to the multi-vehicle crash.
