The Pennsbury High School community worked hard earlier this month to make the holiday season a little brighter for some local senior citizens.

Students and staff worked together to provide 175 senior citizens with a warm meal and holiday-themed entertainment.

Students from Pennsbury’s Interact Club, a youth division of the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rotary, organized the event. Students from the basketball team, winter track team, Catering Club, the MOST program and students in the Family and Consumer Sciences program assisted with the dinner along with district staff. Performances from the Falcon Strings, a dance team, the Falconairs women’s singing group and the PHS Chamber Choir punctuated the late afternoon dinner.
The senior citizens spend a few hours enjoy fellowship, entertainment and a warm meal.
Organizers thanked Pennsbury’s food service provider, The Nutrition Group, and Deon Beverages for their donations for the dinner.
