The shooting happened shortly before noon and caused residents near the golf club to question whether the incident was connected to the manhunt for a 35-year-old accused of killing six people in Montgomery County. Bartorilla said there was no connection between the incidents.

News helicopters swarmed overhead as police investigated the death.

Bartorilla said detectives are handling the investigation.
