Speakers including scholarships recipients, tea experts, and spa experts spoke at the seventh annual Women’s Scholarship Tea.
The event,held in Tyler Hall on the Newtown Campus of the college, raised more than $12,000 for student scholarships, according to a press release.

Speakers at the event included winners of this year’s scholarships, and inlcuded Deana Abbott of Doylestown, Linda Agasar of Newtown, Jathiyah Mitchell of Levittown, and Asia Panzino of Langhorne. Other guest speakers included Glenn Swann, an expert in selecting and brewing tea, who described details of the Japanese tea ceremoy, and David Witchell of David Witchell Salon & Spa in Newtown, according to released information.
The scholarship is described as “the Salute to Mothers’ scholarship helps female students who support at least one child.”
Sponsors of the event included Celebrity Cruises as the presenting sponsor, with the support of donors Acme Market, Bella Biscotti, CulinArt, Giant Supermarket, Italian People’s Bakery, Maryanne Pastry Shoppe, McCaffrey’s Supermarket, Mignoni Jewelry, and Mt. Fuji Hibachi & Asian Bistro, according to press released information.
