The show features visual arts, music, and multimedia by thirteen alumni, selected by guest curator Cris Martino. An opening reception takes place from 6 to 7:30 pm. Saturday, November 8, in the gallery on the Newtown Township campus.
It’s clear to these established artists the influence that Bucks had on their successful careers.
Jim Shumann, a 1988 graduate of film production and cinema studies department, is an Emmy award winning animation director and producer. He’s spent more than 25 years on shows such as “SpongeBob Squarepants,” “Kung-Fu Panda,” “Monsters vs. Aliens,” “The Batman,” and “Fanboy and Chum-Chum,” among many others. He says he looks back on his time at Bucks often and with fondness.

“The time I spent making films at BCCC, both live action and animated, is still to this day a huge influence on how I approach the production process in terms of completion of the shared vision,” says Shumann, currently a producer at Dreamworks Television animation. He says he learned “balancing artistic collaboration with an eye on budget and schedule, and most importantly, treating people with respect.”
