The principal of Neshaminy High School sent an email to parents in the wake of school district and police investigations into alleged nude photos of students that were circulated.
Principal Dr. Rob McGee said in his message to parents that “student safety and privacy are our foremost concerns.”

The email tackles “rumors and misinformation reported in the mainstream media and on social media.”
The investigation, which began Friday, involves several students at the high school who “allegedly possessed inappropriate photo texts of a sexual nature,” district officials said.
Police said on Friday and Saturday that their investigation was in the early stages.

McGee wrote “the situation/incident was NOT a football team issue.”
Published reports on Saturday said the investigation involves members of the high school’s football team. LevittownNow.com was not able to independently confirm those reports as of Sunday.

He also wrote, as LevittownNow.com reported on Friday, the Yik Yak app situation reported earlier in the week was not related to the current investigation. It was noted that the latest situation came to light in the “fall out” of the Yik Yak incident.
The district said in a statement on Friday they will be notifying parents of the students involved as the investigation moves forward.
The district statement says administration will “render appropriate disciplinary action pending the outcome of the investigation.”

The situation/incident was NOT related to the ‘Yik Yak issue’ other than it was initially reported as part of the ‘fall out’ of that issue.

The situation/incident was discovered on Friday and did not necessarily occur on Friday or even last week. As a result, student cell phone use will return to normal on Monday. i.e. Pre-Yik-Yak situation. NHS Students did an outstanding job taking charge to ‘right the ship’ in that arena.
The situation/incident was NOT a football team issue.
