There was another armed robbery in Bristol Borough early Sunday morning, according to police.

Two male suspects armed with guns – one black one silver – stopped a woman ย and a man on the 200 Block of Otter Street a little after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, police told LevitownNow.com.

According to police, the masked suspects approached the woman and held the guns to her head. Police said the men made off with money and were last seen running down Swain Street where theyย  disappeared into the night.

Investigators said they now believe all six the robberies and attempted robberies, beginning with the first one on September 30, are connected. Police would not divulge what the connecting threads are in the street crimes that are occurring with alarming frequency.

Concerns about safety continue to grow throughout the area.

That concern has risen and crested into borough residents planning to form a town watch, which Mayor Pat Sabatini said is a good idea. The mayor did however caution against acts of vigilantism.

Sabatini said he was hoping council will be approving new police hires at the November council meeting.

Sgt. Joe Moors, the Police Benevolent Association president, said recently that the hiring can’t come soon enough.

The borough police department is down three officers at the moment, with one expected back in January while surrounding law enforcement agencies in Lower Bucks County provide supports for the borough cops.

One mother of two said Saturday she doesn’t feel safe anymore, whether it’s day or night.

“We’ve had problems before but this is out of hand,” she said.

Residents living close to the locations of the robberies have said repeatedly that the think the robbers know the department right now is undermanned and are taking advantage of the staff situation.
