Bristol Borough police captured one of “several” strong-arm robbery suspects late Sunday night, according to authorities.

Mahkell Litchauer, 19, of Bristol was arraigned early Monday morning by on-call District Court Judge Robert L. Wagner Jr. on charges of robbery, theft charges, simple assault and related offenses. He was remanded to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $250,000 bail.

According to the probable cause affidavit, police were called to the 600 block of Race Street for a “large fight” around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sgt. Joe Moors wrote in court documents that he observed one female and two males standing in the middle of the block. The three said they were attacked and robbed by several men.
Moors noted in court documents the victims were bloodied and their clothes were torn.

Two of the victims, who were a couple, told police they were visiting the third victim on Race Street. While sitting in a vehicle parked on the block, a group of suspects approached the vehicle, pulled the couple out and began assaulting victims. The attack included kicking and punching the victims while they were in the street, according to court documents.
The suspects continued beating the victims as they stole the female’s purse, wallet and cell phone, Moors wrote in court documents.

The third victim of the assault, according to court documents, heard screaming outside and saw the ongoing attack. He attempted to intervene and was then attacked by the suspects. They knocked him to the ground and proceeded to kick and beat him, police said.
The suspects robbed him of his cell phone and Bluetooth device, Moors said.
The victims said the suspects fled into a Race Street home, according to court documents.

A short timer later, one of the victims was able to positively identify Litchauer as one strong-arm robbery suspects, court documents say.
The Bucks County Rescue Squad treated the victims at the scene for their injuries, court documents say.

Litchauer was taken to borough police headquarters to be further interviewed.
Throughout the incident, residents in the community noted multiple police agencies assisting borough officials with the search for the other subjects.

No word on whether borough police have leads on the other suspects or if Sunday’s robbery was in any way connected to the three that occurred recently.
