The hunt to find a new Bucks County human resource director is coming to a close.

Tuesday was the final day for job applicants to submit their paperwork to the county. County spokesperson Juliet Kelchner over 200 people applied for the job.

Commissioner Chairman Robert Loughery said a recent public event that officials will evaluate all the applications before making a hire.
Former Bucks County HR Director Meredith Dolan resigned in July after a grand jury found her department botched some of their duties and cost taxpayers roughly $500,000.
Dolan was hired to the job in 2009 and she was paid $82,000 at the time, according to a county release.

County officials have said changes have since been made to the department to improve it. Officials have also looked at how other counties handle their HR departments.
The HR department consists of eight full-time employees and one part-time worker. The office handles $41 million in insurance coverage for county employees and their dependents.
