The Hulmeville Olde Town Flea Market captivated both residents and tourists on Saturday as hundreds gathered in the borough to swap and buy goods.

โYou get to see your neighbors before they hibernate for the winter,โ joked Kathy McGovern, one of the vendors at the event. McGovern noted that the weather this year trumps the weather last year, and has lead to a much stronger turnout than last year offered.

โIt is always a really good turnout, I do well every year,โ said Donna Straiton.
โI get to interact with people from the neighborhood and outside of it,โ said Karen Gabriele, who has been vending at the event for the past four years.
โ[I am] doing very well, it is a very good day. The weather could not be better,โ said a ten year veteran of the sale. โI just love selling and I love the people,โ he said.

People came from far away to be with their relatives and take part in the selling, such as one vendor who wished to remain nameless who traveled to the market from Delaware this morning, who noted that it has been fun to meet the people in the area.
Dale Walton, who has been involved with the flea market since the year it began noted that the weather has been great and that they have been seeing lots of people. โIt draws more people every year. It’s Hulmeville’s way of trading junk,โ Walton joked.
