In a tension filled meeting in Falls Township last Tuesday, the question hung in the air, “Does Lincoln Highway need another used car lot?”
Chairman Bob Harvie says no, but his vote was defeated when Vice Chariman Jeffry Dence, Secretary Jeffrey Rocco and Supervisor Jeff Boraski all approved a non-factory authorized dealership to be added to the Superior Motor Service lot at 218 Lincoln Highway in Falls Township.

After an executive session, James McCoy, owner of Superior Motor Service, along with his lawyer, made the case for the sale of 17 vehicles on his lot.
The approval will mean moving the existing fence on the property, repainting parking spots, decreasing the amount of access allowed in the lot’s entrance, and prohibiting McCoy from operating his lot past 9 p.m..
Two local Falls Township residents rose to speak against the lot, stating that Falls Twp. has more than enough used car lots on the busy street and that the ordinance against non-factory authorized vehicles “exists for a reason”.
