Officials from the county will be spraying a chemical in Bristol Township and Falls Thursday evening to cut down on the amount of mosquitoes.

Starting at 7:30 p.m., depending on the weather, two trucks will apply Masterline Kontrol 4-4.

According to a county press release:
The spray will be in Bristol and Falls Townships, and include the following streets in the Thornridge section of Levittown; Thornridge Drive, Thinbark, Twin Leaf, Teaberry, Tulip, Tall Pine, Tapered Oak, Top Hill, Tearose, Tamarack, Thornyapple, Thimbleberry, Turn Hill, Thorn Ridge Way. The following lanes in Birch Valley are included; Blue Spruce, Briaroot, Black Pine, Buttonwood, Begonia, Birch Drive, Boulder, Bentwood and Barberry.
The spray will be conducted using a spray truck: a 1997 Chevrolet pickup, with a Ford Ranger lead truck. The spray vehicle and lead vehicle bear County of Bucks identification on the vehicle side doors. The county Pesticide Applicator Number BU0107 will also appear on the vehicles. The spray will commence by 7:30 pm and conclude by 11 p.m.
Crews will apply the chemical at the rate of about .75 ounces per acre.
A rain date for the spray is Friday.
