Detectives in Bristol Township have been fielding tips following he stabbing of two people – one a Falls Township volunteer firefighter – Saturday morning outside a bar.

Lt. Terry Hughes said detectives have been chasing down leads that have poured into police since the altercation which sent four people to the hospital – two for stab wounds, one who was beaten and another who was accidentally struck by a car.

No arrests have been made in the case and Hughes declined Tuesday afternoon to comment on whether police had any suspects. The lieutenant did say there was “progress” being made in the investigation.
The 21-year-old firefighter remains in critical condition at St. Mary Medical Center as of Tuesday evening.
The other three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are out of the hospital, Hughes said.

Police said the melee happened at the entrance to the bar and spilled out into the parking lot of the Stadium Bar & Grille off New Falls Road around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Patrol cars from Middletown, the state police and Tullytown were called to assist at the scene. Firefighters and medics tended to the injured at the scene.

Hughes said they are still investigating the fight, but an earlier altercation in the bar might have triggered the incident that led to the violent attacks.
Witnesses who were at the bar told LevittownNow.com Saturday morning they believed an earlier fight in the evening lead to the larger fight.
