Here’s the message:

Bristol Township public works crews have been cleaning up after Tuesday evening’s storms left dozens of fallen trees and downed power lines.

Within minutes after the evening storm, Public Works Department crews were out in the community assessing and clearing damage from downed trees and tree branches. While crews continue their cleanup, the Public Works Department reported that they have already cleared 41 trees and, most importantly, assisted PECO crews to restore power to Township customers without service.

The Township reminds residents that fallen trees on private property are the property owners’ responsibility. Property owners may prepare the debris for regular yard-waste pickup. Limbs need to be cut to 4 feet or less in length, and branches should be tied or bundled with string or twine.

The Township appreciates residents’ patience and support with the storm response operations.
