Falls Township police responded to a townhome on Oxford Falls Court at 11:52 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, after a resident reported a woman had broken into his residence.

While officers were responding, the caller told 9-1-1 the woman was actively attempting to scale a rear window to get inside.

An arriving officer discovered the woman shouting at a man while trying to climb through an open window, police said.

The woman was taken into custody after the officer ordered her out of the window, police said.

The resident reported that when he initially arrived home, he discovered an open bottle of wine and a defrosted water ice sitting on his kitchen table. He then noticed a bedroom light was turned on that he had left off. As he walked through the house, he spotted the woman standing outside his back door, prompting him to call 911 as she attempted to get inside, police said.

The man told police he met the woman – identified as Lindsay Harris, 30, of Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County – on a dating website in January, but had only met her in person once and did not want to pursue a relationship. He noted that he had never given Harris his address, according to court papers.

The man told police Harris arrived at his home unannounced the week prior to the incident. The man reportedly told her to stop contacting him.

Harris continued to send him text messages after he asked her to stop contacting him, police said.

Harris is charged with burglary, stalking, criminal trespassing, and harassment. She was preliminarily arraigned before on-call District Judge Daniel Baranoski and her bail was set at 10 percent of $50,000.

Harris was released from county custody the following day after posting bail, according to court records.
