Cops Flood Croydon to Search for Armed Robbers


Police from multiple jurisdictions flooded the Croydon section of Bristol Township Saturday night and searched for two armed robbers.

The two men walked into the CVS on Route 13 around 8:30 p.m. and struck up conversation about a product with a clerk before whipping out guns and demanding cash, police said. The two men reportedly received an undisclosed amount of money and ran.

Sgt. Chuck Burns told LevittownNow.com the two men ran through neighborhoods and residents spotted them. The residents were able to alert police, which helped in their search. The sergeant said officers from Bristol Borough, Bensalem and Falls assisted Bristol Township police in the search.

No one in the store was injured but they were shaken up, Burns said.

The first suspect is described by police as a black male who wore red shorts with white piping, sunglasses with thick white frames and a white hoodie. The second suspect is a black male who reportedly wore  maroon hoodie.

Saturday’s robbery comes just days after a serial pharmacy robber struck her fourth business in the area last week. There appears to be no connection between the crimes.
