According to TMA Bucks:
Nolan Schmell (Pennridge High School) received the $2,000 Joseph V. DiGirolamo Scholarship which recognizes Bensalem mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, who was the founder of TMA Bucks and served 11 years as president of the board of directors. The first-ever $1,500 William D. Rickett Scholarship went to Collin M. Engard (Pennridge). This scholarship recognizes the TMA’s first-ever executive director Bill Rickett, who retired in 2013 after 14 ½ years with the organization.
The money comes from the TMA Bucks Foundation Scholarship Fund and are one-time awards to be used when the students start college in the fall.
