Wistar Road Bridge Eastbound Lane Closed for Repairs

A press release from Bristol Township on Tuesday announced the closing of  the Eastbound lane of the Wistar Road Bridge stretching over the Queen Anne Creek as of Monday May 12.

Repairs to the bridge decking, according to the township officials,  are being completed, with a  Westbound traffic lane remaining  open during the repairs.

Township officials anticipate the road closure and detour to be in effect until August 12, 2014.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the bridge, if possible, and advised to allow additional time in their travel plans in order to avoid delays, especially in the morning and afternoon commuting hours., the release said.
