Officials have said Yarnall was going withdrawal treatment while in prison. Campbell said she was last seen alive Saturday in her cell at 8:15 a.m. and was found unresponsive at 11:20 a.m.
Campbell said drug withdraw is a very serious situation but does not often lead to death.

Two women in six months have died in the Bucks County Prison. On Monday, officials said a “full review” of the most recent death is planned.
Marlene Yarnall, 49, who was last a resident of Bensalem, was found dead Saturday morning in her cell at the county jail in Doylestown. Bucks County spokesman Chris Edwards said Yarnall had “pre-existing health conditions” and cardiac arrest was her cause of death.

Foul play is not suspected in Yarnall’s death, according to information released over the weekend.
William Plantier, Bucks County’s director of corrections, will be meeting with healthcare contractor PrimeCare Medical of Harrisburg this week. The healthcare contractor will be conducting a “full review” of Yarnall’s death. The company only began their contract in the Bucks County prison system recently and will be paid nearly $12 million over the next three years.
The 49-year-old reportedly had multiple incarcerations prior to this last one and began her final stay in jail last week. Court records indicate she was in prison on a parole violation.

In September, a 29-year-old woman was found dead in the jail. Officials said in fall that they suspect her death to be related to previous drug abuse.
