Business Owner Charged with Dropping Nails in Competitor’s Parking Lot

A Bristol Township business owner is accused of dropping nails in the parking lot of a competitor’s business.

John Brogan, 69, of King of Prussia, admitted to throwing nails in the parking lot of a competing door-installation and repair business located on Route 13 around 6:15 p.m. on Monday. He also admitted to doing it on more than one occasion, according to police.

The 69-year-old owns a door company headquartered on Clyde Waite Drive.

The owner of the Route 13-based company told police the nails thrown in his parking lot have caused at least $1,000 in tire damage to vehicles, according to court papers.

Brogan was identified as a suspect by the Route 13 business owner, police said.

Brogan was charged this week with 7 counts of disorderly conduct and harassment. One count of criminal mischief was also lodged, according to court documents.

The 69-year-old was arraigned before District Judge Joanne Kline and released on his own recognizance.
