Thousands of people were in the dark for about an hour Monday afternoon in Lower Bucks County.

PECO officials reported a power outage that began around 3 p.m. and impacted 3,765 customers in Lower Makefield, 2,767 customers in Falls and 107 in Morrisville.

Crews were dispatched and found an “equipment problem” was to blame for the outage, PECO spokesperson Debra Yemenijian told LevittownNow.com. As of 4:05 p.m., Yemenijian said customers should have had service restored.

The outage follows recent weeks when several storms left thousands of customers in the dark, some for nearly a week.
