Meeting on Proposed Middletown Development Canceled

The Thursday night resident meeting set by Ingerman Development Company about a proposed 480 unit housing development in Middletown Township’s Levittown section has been canceled due to the weather. 

Township officials say the development company will still receive input from Planning Commission at their February 19 meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the municipal building. Zoning Director Pat Duffy said the commission will take no formal action but will offer feedback. Township officials are currently reviewing a sketch of the site.

The developer submitted the early sketch of the proposed complex consisting of 480 residences recently. The development would be built off Woodbourne Road behind Kmart at the site of the old Langhorne Speedway. Zoning issues would face the developer if the plan moves forward.

The sketch submitted to the township consists of 374 apartments spread through 22 buildings and 106 townhomes over 11 buildings. Early plans also call for a community building and spots for recreation.
