Store Closed Following Copper Theft, Other Locations Hit

Several copper thefts were reported recently in Bristol Township.

The Sears Hardware store in Deon Plaza in Fairless Hills is closed following the theft of about 120 feet of copper wiring, 6abc reported Saturday.

Police said in a release sent to LevittownNow.com that 70 feet of electric cable was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday of last week from the 7000 block of Route 13. The value of the theft was $1,000.

Seventy feet of copper was stolen from a fenced area along the 2000 block of Durham Road between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Copper is often stolen and sold for it value.
