Democratic Congressional Candidate (PA-8) Shaughnessy Naughton officially opened a campaign office on Mill Street in Bristol Borough earlier this week.
On Thursday, Naughton with Campaign manager Josh Morrow explained why they choose Bristol for the campaign’s headquarters in Lower Bucks.

“Obviously Bristol is where most of the of democrats are in Bucks County and its important to get my message out to those it will resonate with,”‘ she said, as phones and fax machines beeped and buzzed Thursday afternoon.
Only a block away from the Kevin Strouse campaign headquarters in Bristol, asked if was there any specific reason for moving so close to her opponent’s campaign office, Naughton smiled with Morrow adding, “Welcome to the Neighborhood,” never really answering the question directly.
Naughton and Strouse will face off in the May Democratic Primary with the winner taking on Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick in November for the seat in the House of Representatives.

Naughton, according to shop keepers on Mill Street, has been out and about meeting local business owners and introducing herself to the business district as her campaign staff preps the new office located in the heart of Historic Bristol.
Naughton’s main message to voters in the 8th district is she wants to see a jobs bill happen and “get people back to work” because, she says “our do nothing Congress,” has done little to nothing to help the economy grow, including Fitzpatrick, she said.

Naughton owns a small family run publishing business which she brought back to life in the face of economic challenges, her bio says.
The Naughton campaign is planning an open house event, date yet to be determined, for locals in an effort for the candidate to reach out to the community and hear their concerns.
