It’s been a busy winter for local plow crews so far. It doesn’t appear to be slowing down, according to the forecast.
Meteorologists at the National Weather Service’s Mount Holly office issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lower Bucks County and the surrounding areas. The warning goes into effect 10 a.m. Tuesday and will continue into Wednesday morning.

A forecast prepared by the NWS says the area can expect 5 to 9 inches of snow. The worst storm will move in late morning Tuesday and continue through the evening. Winds of 15 MPH to 20 MPH are predicted along with temperatures well below freezing.
Forecasters on both television and radio warned that traveling on roadways will likely become dangerous as the heaviest of the snow moves through the area. With gusty winds, blowing and drifting snow could also be a problem on plowed roads, the NWS warns.
PennDOT crews are readying for the snow as are local plow crews. State and local government crews could be seen preparing for the storm throughout the day.

From PhillyWX.com:
If Philly picks up 6″ of snow tomorrow, it’ll be the 3rd time the city has had a 6″ or greater snowfall this winter. That would mark the 1st time since snow was officially recorded in 1884 where Philly has had three snowfalls of 6″ or more before February 1st.
