Community Bank Awards Scholarships to BCCC Students

First Federal of Bucks County recently presented three Bucks County Community College students withย scholarships, which honor First Federal a longtime Board ofย Director member, a release says.

The George W. Shaffer Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Daulton Brady. The Harold F. Oswaldย Jr. Honorary Scholarship was awarded to Amanda Hendershot, and the David M. Harris Honorary Scholarship wasย awarded to Brianna Mullins, according to a release from the bank.

Brady is a local Bristol resident and recent graduate of Bucks County Technical High School. He is a full-timeย student at Bucks County Community College as a Criminal Justice major and plans to work towards obtaining a bachelorโ€™s degree.

Hendershot is a Levittown resident and recent graduate of Bucks County Technical High School. Sheย is a full-time student at Bucks County Community College as a Liberal Arts Major. While in high school she volunteered ย at Pennswood Village and part of Band, Mathletes, Drama Club and SADD, a bank official said.

Mullins is a local Churchville resident and recent graduate of Council Rock South. She is a full-time studentย at Bucks County Community College as a Secondary Education โ€“ English Major, and ย has had a poem published in the World Poetry Movement.

The recipients were presented to by Tobias Bruhn, Executive Director for the Bucks County Communityย College Foundation at a recent gathering.

โ€œWe are pleased to grant these scholarships in honor of two formerย First Federal presidents and one former Board of Director,” Jeane M. Coyle, president/CEO of First Federal, said. “The three students who were selected exhibit a charitable spiritย and have the drive to succeed in their future ambitions,” she said.
