
A woman was carjacked at the Hamilton Park Apartments in Middletown’s Levittown section just hours into the new year .
According to police, a woman who had just dropped off two c0-workers at the apartment complex was approached as she went to exit onto Veterans Highway (Route 413) at 4:40 a.m. The male suspect opened the front passenger side door and got into the passenger seat, police said in a written release.

The suspect pulled a black handgun and pointed it at her. He then told her to drive, police said.
The woman followed the man’s directions and ended up in the Snowball Gate section of Levittown. From there, he took her cash, cell phone and told her to get out of the SUV. He then drove off in her white 2013 Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania tags, police said.
The victim banged on the doors of a few homes and eventually ran to the Great American Diner at the intersection of Veterans and Lincoln highways. Police responded to the diner and searched for the stolen car with no luck.

A bicycle left at the exit to the apartment complex was believed by the victim to be the suspect’s mode of transportation, police said.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30s with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing an orange hat at the time of the crime.
