According to police, Griffiths attacked the man she lived with on Bald Cypress Lane just before 6 p.m. following a verbal altercation. The relationship between the two was not disclosed in court papers.
The man said Griffiths struck him in the right eye with a clothing hanger, police said. The 32-year-old then is alleged to have gathered the man’s clothes in front of the home and set them ablaze.
The man called 9-1-1- when she set his clothing on fire, police said.

Court papers say the responding officer found the man with a fresh abrasion that was bleeding in the area of his right eye. The officer also noted he observed a “large brush fire” burning outside the Bald Cypress Lane.
Griffiths fled the scene and was taken into custody late last month.
