Taxes in Falls Township are not expected to increase next year.
The tax millage rate will stay at 7.22 percent, which means homeowners will pay $216.60 for every $30,000 of assessed value.

Finance Director Betsy Reukauf told the Board of Supervisors recently the millage rate is at the lowest rate since 1992.
Reukauf displayed a presentation showing how only four percent of tax money residents pay to the township actually goes to fund the municipality. A little more than 10 percent goes to the county and more than 80 percent goes to the Pennsbury School District.
The new budget includes over $447,000 in expenditures for police to purchase some new equipment, $175,737 to construct sidewalks on a portion of New Falls Road and $12,000 for a goose management system at Falls Township Community Park.

The township is expected to collect $795,000 in building, electrical and fire permits, Reukauf said.
The proposed budget is expected to be voted on at the December 17 meeting.
