A Langhorne man has been charged in connection with a multi-agency child pornography investigation.

Jared Hasness, 30, of the Langhorne section of Northampton, was charged Thursday with 10 counts of child pornography, five counts of possession and distribution of child pornography and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility. He was arraigned before District Judge Judge Robert Schnell Jr. after he turned himself over to police on Wednesday and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

Police said they seized Hasness’ computer, and a forensic examination found more than 100 files of child pornography on it. Some of the pornography showed children under the age of 10 being sexually abused, according to a press release.

A New Britain Township police officer found Hasness using the internet for sharing child pornography in July and began the investigation.

Officers from Northampton and Penndel assisted in executing a search warrant on Hasness’ home.

New Britain police are involved because their detective works on federal, state and local task forces to uncover child pornography file sharing.
