
An alleged intoxicated Croydon man stole a running car from a driveway on Bridgewater Road ย for a joyride Thursday night that led to a high-speed chase through Bristol Borough and Tullytown.
Ian Eysenbach, 27, now faces multiple felony charges and related offenses.

Eysenbach reportedly blew through a “solid” red light at the intersection of 413 an I -95, court records say, catching the attention of ย Pennsylvania State Police.
A trooper activated his lights to get the man’s attention, however, he continued on, blowing through more red lights and stop signs along Veterans Highway (Route 413) as he sped into Bristol, ย police said.
Eysenbach, in a 1990 White Jeep Wrangler, recklessly continued to drive through both boroughs ignoring state police, as he traveled down Pond Street, witnesses have told LevittownNow.com.

Tullytown police deployedย stop sticks, which areย tire-deflation devices used by law enforcement, causing the Jeep to sustain two flat tires forcing the vehicle to come to a stop soon afterwards, the probable cause affidavit says.
Upon apprehension, the eluding man, who reeked of alcohol refused to submit to a blood test ย police say.ย Eysenbach was not in possession of the vehicle keys and told police he was “joyriding” in the stolen jeep when authorities encountered him.

The vehicle’s owner was contacted and she told state police she never gave the Croydon man permission to use the vehicle and the Jeep was supposed to be parked in the her driveway. The owner also told authorities she did not know Eysenbach, court records say.
Police from multiple agencies were involved in the chase.
Eysenbach was arraigned by District Court Judge Frank W. Perenteau Sr. at 4:25 a.m. Friday morning on theft by unlawful taking,ย receiving stolen property,ย fleeing an officer, driving under the influence and several summary offenses. ย Bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000 and he was sent to Bucks County Prison.

Eysenbach is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 22 in front of District Court Judge Joann V. Kline.
