Officer Sean Perry arrived and was pointed to the 100 block of Glen Avenue where he saw a white Infinity sedan with key scratches all over it. Derogatory terms that were several inches high were carved into the passenger side of the car, according to court papers.
Police spoke with the man who lived at the home where the damaged car was found and he said his ex-girlfriend – Katelyn Barker, 29, of Bristol – was likely to blame for the vandalism.
Barker came to a home in the 60 block of West Lincoln Highway and punched her ex-boyfriend in the side of his face hour earlier, he told police.

She said during an interview that she went to the West Lincoln Highway address, hit her ex-boyfriend and then proceed to his house in the 100 block of Glen Avenue, police said. They added that the 26-year-old told them she spotted her ex-boyfriend’s new sweetheart’s car outside and keyed it.
Next, Barker entered the Glen Avenue house and and took several rings, a laptop and white bag, police said. She told them she originally went to the house with the intentions of getting her keys back.
The 26-year-old was overheard by the officer telling her mother that the stolen items were in the laundry room of her apartment, court papers say. All of the stolen items were returned to police later.
