Details on a Thursday afternoon accident outside the Wendy’s on Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township were sketchy as of 6 p.m.

According to a county dispatcher, police, fire and EMS crews were called the 1300 block of the busy roadway for a traffic accident at 12:48 p.m. Emergency radio traffic indicated that a man was being rushed to the hospital following a one-car crash for a heart-related condition.

There are conflicting reports as to whether the man passed away following the accident.

Maria Matrin posted on LevittownNow.com’s Facebook page that an employee at a nearby gym performed CPR on the crash victim.

A utility pole at the scene of the crash was leaning by 2:30 p.m. Ruts and damage to shrubs was visible.
