“I’m just drunk and stupid I guess,” Gary Kramer, 56, of Bristol Township’s Levittown section, is quoted in court papers as telling the police officer who took him into custody after a Blue Ridge Drive resident alleged the man broke into his house over the weekend.

Kramer’s words may have been a huge understatement. He is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and possessing an instrument of crime.

When Bristol Township police arrived to the Blue Ridge Drive house Saturday night at around 8:45 p.m., they found Kramer being held down by the homeowner, a probable cause affidavit states. Police said Kramer suffered injuries serious enough to land him in St. Mary Medical Center.

The homeowner said he found Kramer wearing a pair of black work gloves inside the home, police said. Kramer was allegedly discovered with a metal pry bar and a channel lock tool.

According to police,  Kramer gained access to the house through a bedroom window, which was found smashed.

In Kramer’s shorts pockets, authorities found contained several pieces of jewelry, a bag of baby powder,  a 4-inch flashlight and various other household items, police said.

While in the police car on the way to the hospital, Kramer told an officer, “I just wanted some money and drugs,” according to court papers.

Kramer was arraigned before District Judge John Kelly Jr. and sent to county jail in Doylestown on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
