A unsuspecting driver told police she looked over at the car traveling next to her on northbound Route 1 during a Sunday evening drive late in July and saw the male driver gesturing toward his lap. She looked; his genitals were exposed as he drove down the superhighway, according to a police criminal complaint filed by Falls Township police Officer Michael Callahan.

The woman slowed her SUV in an attempt to grab the license plate number of the man’s car. The exposed driver slowed his car and managed to pull behind the woman, police said.

The woman headed toward the Fairless Hills exit but quickly re-entered the roadway and got behind the alleged flasher’s green sedan, police said.

According to court documents, the woman alerted police, gave a description of the driver and passed along the car’s license plate information.

After a search, police found an image of the man the car was registered to and showed the woman the photo. The woman told police the owner of the car – identified as Alden Cantoni, 34, of Morrisville, –  was the man who flashed her, according to court documents.

Police spoke with Cantoni, who told them the accusations made by the woman were true, court documents stated. They also say, “The defendant could not answer specific questions regarding this incident because this is a recurring behavioral pattern for him.”

As his conversation with an officer continued, police said Cantoni admitted to exposing his genital between 30 and 35 times on busy Route 1. He added that he varied from just exposing his privates to sometimes masturbating while driving, according to police.

Cantoni even told police he had exposed himself so many times on that July evening when the woman called police, he was unable to “describe his specific actions in the incident,” court papers said.

The 34-year-old was charged by mail with indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct and reckless driving.
