A body found in a wooded area of Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Friday night has been identified as a Levittown woman.

The body of Katie Cimino, 36, was examined by coroner’s office officials Monday morning.

Cimino’s cause of death remains undetermined pending toxicology results, Coroner Dr. Joseph Campbell told LevittownNow.com.

“There was no signs of physical trauma,” Campbell said, adding that the 36-year-old’s body was in the process of decomposing and had likely been there more than a week.

The death is not currently being considered a homicide, officials said.

Bensalem police removed the body from the underbrush across from the Mall Motel in the 4000 block of Old Lincoln Highway at about 11 p.m. Friday.

Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler said Saturday afternoon that county detectives are not involved in the investigation.
