A body was found in a wooded area across from a motel on East Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Friday night.

As of Saturday morning, few details on the incident have been released.

Police were in the 4000 block Old Lincoln Highway as of 10:30 p.m. Friday night. Members of the Bensalem police were seen in the field with members of the county coroner’s office.

Officials at the scene did not comment on the body or police response.

Guests at the Mall Motel, which is across the street from where police were focusing their investigation, watched as officials pulled the body from tall grass at the edge of the woods.

A source told LevittownNow.com that investigators were working to notify the family of the person found dead.
