
A six-month, wide-ranging investigation in to drug sales and activity by the Bristol Township Police Department led to the arrests ย of ย 21 suspected ย mid-level drug dealers and distributors, Lt. ย Terry Hughes said late Friday night.
“Operation Summer Wind” was ย first initiated in December after complaints about drug activity around the 1500 block of Haines Road through Croydon, Hughes said.

Hughes said the name of the operation reflected efforts to “put a serious dent in drug trafficking business before the start of Summer,” by arresting ย the two ย main suppliers, Walt Jones, 60, of Beaver Dam Road, and ย Jamal Carter, 35, ย of Philadelphia.
They are suspected of ย supplying several dealers in a roughly defined ring ย that based their narcotics operation out of ย Victoria Gardens Apartments on Haines Road, Hughes said.
Jones and Carter, arrested in February,ย faces various felony narcotics charges, according to online court documents. Carter is in Bucks County Jail, unable to post ย bond, while Jones is out in lieu of ย 10 percent of ย $500,000 bail.

From December to June,ย four search warrants were executed at the residences of suspects, where approximately $9703 in cash five vehicles, 9 ounces ย of cocaine and crack cocaine and approximately 4 grams of heroine was secured, Hughes said.
The ย most recent arrest, ย Jerry Lynch, ย 53,ย of ย Bristol Township, was on four felony possession charges plus a child endangerment charge ย this past Thursday. Lynch is currently in Bucks County Jail unable to post 10 percent of the $75,000 bond set by District Court Judge Robert L. Wagner Jr, according to online court records.

Two other alleged mid level street dealers Ronnie Rice of Bristol Township and Corey McCloud 36 of Bristol Township was ย also arrested ย in connection with the investigation.
On May 7 ย ย McCloud was brought before District Court Judge Robert L. Wagner and was charged with three felony manufacture, delivery, possession charges and is currently in Bucks County Jail in lieu of 1o percent of $20,00o bail, according to online court documents
Rice was arrested on February 19 and was charged with one possession count ย by District Court Judge Joanne V. Kline is scheduled for formal arraignment on July 5 at the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas in Doylestown. He was released on his own recognizance.

Arrest warrants have been issued for additional suspects including one juvenile, police say.
The Bucks County Drug Forfeiture Fund, funded the investigation, providing ย buy money and paying for police officer overtime.
