Newport Road to be Closed During Day for Work

A portion of Newport Road in Bristol Township will be closed during the day starting next week.

The road will be closed between Maple Avenue and Old Rodgers Road starting next Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and continuing until September 13, PennDOT said in a press release. The closure will only happen on weekdays.

Water utility company Aqua Pennsylvania will be installing a new water main and is requiring the road be closed during the day.

During the closure, traffic on Newport Road will be detoured to Veterans Highway (Route 413), Route 13 and Newportville Road, PennDOT said. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

PennDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time due to the closure.
