Officials Confirm Little on Shooting, Stabbing in Croydon


Bristol Township police have released little details on the shooting and stabbing that sent two people to the hospital, one with serious injuries.

As of Monday afternoon, Lt. Terry Hughes said the investigation was on-going and police were busy with paperwork related to the case. By Monday at sundown, no charges had been filed against anyone in connection with the case.

According to a two sources, officers responded to a disturbance call on the Linton Avenue in the Croydon section of the township just past 9 p.m. Arriving police discovered a victim with gunshot and stab wounds and another victim with less serious injuries.

The victim with the most serious injuries was transported by ambulance to Aria Health’s Torresdale Hospital, where they remained as of Monday.

One source close  to police told LevittownNow.com that a family member of  both victims is the key suspect in the stabbing and shooting.

Neighbors identified the house where first responders converged on Sunday night as being in the 800 block of Linton Avenue, just off of State Road. One man said the house was known in the past to be the site of fights involving the residents, who he believed were related.

Police are expected to release more information on Tuesday.
