
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue announced earlier this week that the deadline for older adults and individuals with disabilities to apply for the rent rebate program has been extended from June 30 to December 31 2013.

recent memory, we extend the deadline to ensure everyone who is eligible for theย program has time to apply for the tax relief theyโre owed,โ Secretary of Revenue Dan Meuser said.
According to the Dept of Revenue, as of May 31st they have received a little more than 500,000 applications for the program that benefits Pennsylvanian’s who are 65 or older, widows and widowers age 50 and older and those living with disabilities 18 and over. The income limit to apply for homeowner is $35,000 and $15,00o annually for renters.
The department expects ย about 600,00 households to benefit from the program.
