It’s nearly time for summer hockey.
The Middletown Athletic Association (MAA) is now signing up 5 to 8 year olds for the summer hockey league program.

The season starts on July 7 and goes for 10 weeks, with games held on Sundays.
“This year I will be trying online sign up only,” MAA hockey head Shawn Collins said in an email. “But for any reason you cannot sign up online, please email me at maahockey@hotmail.com to make arrangements to sign up in person.”

Collins said the MAA is looking to build on the record number of registrations the hockey program received last year.
All 1-hour games are followed by a half-hour practice.

Hockey players will be required to wear the following equipment:
- Helmet with cage
- Gloves
- Stick
- Shin Guards
- Elbow pads
Collins said the fall program will be listed at a later date.
