After three schools in the Pennsbury School District were let out early on Thursday due to hot weather, officials expect to open all schools on time Friday.
“Administrators will continue to monitor building temperatures throughout the day tomorrow,” district spokesperson Ann Langtry said.

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, N.J. is calling for temperatures to max out at 94 degrees on Friday. The agency has issued a code orange air quality alert, which means people in the area should avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
Pennsbury High School was dismissed early at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday after an air conditioning system stopped functioning at the West Campus. The failure canceled most after school activities as temperatures hit 90 degrees.
Both Pennwood Middle School and Charles Boehm Middle School dismissed students at 2 p.m. due to the heat.
