Three Pennsbury schools closed early Thursday due to heat conditions.
Pennsbury High School students were dismissed early at 12:30 p.m. due to a malfunctioning air conditioning system, according to an announcement from the district. The issue happened at the East Campus.

All of the high school students who take buses were transported home on their normal bus routes.
The lack of cool air in the high school lead to all after school activities, except softball and an evening concert at West Campus, to be canceled.
Both Pennwood Middle School and Charles Boehm Middle School dismissed students at 2 p.m. due to the heat.

By 2 p.m., the temperature in Levittown was reported to be 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
