The day didn’t exactly go as planned for Sharon Rearick and her merry band of supporters yesterday at the Bucks County Technical School’s Spring Fling 2013.
Theย intermittentย showers, the sun peeking in and out, and overall lack of Spring feel to the day, did not dampen or soak the spirits of those who did show up for the walk/fundraising effort.

No matter, said Sharon Rearick, we’re just going to have to work harder and longer and hope the weather cooperates with us for the next Sidewalks event, which will be an ice creamย fundraiser at Dairy Delight in July.
Rearick, said approximately $2,000 was banked yesterday despite the mercurial weather but felt bad for the approximate 40 or so vendors.
A number of walkers and runners did turn out as they jogged and walked, with no care for about the weather.

Stateย Representative Tina Davis (D-141) shared a personal moment with Rearick, embracing her as two met in front of Davis’ information table.
Earlier this week Davis, once again pointed out theย monumentalย effort Rearick and merry supporters have taken as “herculean” and hailed the determined effort of the group.
