It was tips from the community which lead to the arrest of a Bristol Township man accused of using a handgun to rob the Oxford Valley Pharmacy in Middletown Township on Sunday afternoon.
Jeffrey Eberhart, 46, of Horseshoe Lane, was arrested early Tuesday and arraigned before District Judge Robert Schnell on several counts of counts of robbery with threat of immediate injury, simple assault, terroristic threats, thefts and other related offenses. Eberhart was sent to county jail after being unable to post 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

After surveillance images were released to local media outlets Monday afternoon, police began receiving tips stating Eberhart was the man behind the brazen robbery, according to court documents.
It was Eberhart’s signature style of wearing the jerseys and hats of the Eagles that gave him away, police said. Authorities added that his maroon and gray full-sized Dodge pickup truck he used to escape the robbery in also helped callers connect the man to the robbery.

The pickup truck was found “unattended” Monday in the parking lot of Bristol Township’s Lower Bucks Hospital off Bath Road, police said.
By late Monday evening, police said they had Eberthart in questioning. He admitted to taking more than $200 in Oxycontin from the pharmacy and using a 9mm handgun loaded with 9 or 10 bullets.
The 46-year-old also told investigators where they could find the items he wore in the robbery and admitted he was addicted to painkillers for at least 20 years, police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery where Eberhart is alleged to made customers and employees raise their hands as he waved his gun around, police said. During the robbery, he wore a #89 Chad Lewis jersey.
Police do not believe Eberhart is involved last week’s two pharmacy robberies in Bristol Township.
