A judge sentenced Michael “Pooh” Brooks to life in prison for a 2007 Bristol Township murder.

In addition to the life sentence, Brooks, 33, of Willingboro, N.J., was also sentenced to additional time on gun-related charges he was found guilty of at his trial last month, according to a story in the Bucks County Courier Times.

Prosecutors made the case that Brooks shot 33-year-old Buchanan to death in the Bloomsdale-Fleetwing section of the township after he saw him drive through. The two men previously had been involved in an altercation, witnesses told authorities.

The murder was one of several that happened in the small Bloomsdale-Fleetwing neighborhood in the mid-2000s. While most of the murder have been solved, one murder remains unsolved.

The section has since seen a drop in crime due to increased police patrols and an added security camera system.
